Nelmarie is an experienced tax compliance expert who specialised in this field during a career of 29 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) – the second largest professional services firm internationally and one of the “Big Four” accounting firms in the world. During her career she was a tax compliance manager on local, regional and national levels, as well as a relationship manager for small business clients, including high-net-worth individuals. She also served as national project manager for implementing GreatSoft tax compliance software in all the South African offices of the firm.

The passion that this PwC Experience Award-winner has for her role as a tax compliance champion, coupled to her strengths as an achiever and activator (someone who makes things happen!), are her prime movers to continuously explore ways to work smarter. In this regard she developed a leading-edge in-house income tax calculator for PwC, and was part of the award-winning global team that developed the National Mybusiness@PwC practice management portal.

Nelmarie has the ability to integrate information promptly and to identify the issues that are at stake in complex scenarios instantly. This, together with her clear thinking and logical reasoning abilities, allow her to deal efficiently with matters that have high levels of complexity.
